Your Golden Presence
I asked a client recently what was the biggest transformation from working with me? Her reply: SELF-LOVE. I feel humbled and so much joy when I hear that. Love is your birthright and, somewhere along the way you have received a different messaging that makes it difficult for you to fall in love with yourself and it can sabotage your relationships, your wellbeing and your business.
What would be possible in your life if you all able to reset your operating system to release: all limiting beliefs, the not enoughs, the doubts, the self-judgment, the shame. What if you allowed everything that was not of love to be released and made room for pure, unfiltered, unquestioned embodied love?
The famous Sufi Poet Rumi said “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it”
I would like to change that quote to read “your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and acknowledge all the barriers within yourself that were placed there.”
This revised quote is represented well in the story about the Golden Buddha: In 1957 an entire Monastery in Thailand was being relocated by a group of monks. One day they were moving a giant clay Buddha when one of the monks noticed a large crack in the clay. The monk began to chip away at the clay exterior until he revealed that the statue was in fact made of solid gold, worth over 240 million dollars today. Apparently, in 1781, monks had covered the statue with clay to protect it from a Burmese invasion. When the monks were all killed in the invasion, the golden Buddha’s truth died with them. For centuries its beauty was concealed.
Inside all of you is a golden buddha, concealed by years of conditioning and “clay” that was placed upon you by others who did now know what they were doing because of their own model of reality of the world at the time. What if you decide, today, right now, to place your hand on your golden heart and tenderly say “I remember”. “I remember who I am. I remember who I was before I was covered with clay. I remember that my birthright is to feel and be love. I remember that I am a one of a kind, a limited edition, and there will never be another like me. I remember that today, and always, I am a miracle.”
When you begin to love yourself, you are able to truly welcome another to join you in your golden heart and allow yourself to be loved.
I was in a chat recently with the lovely Andrea Sooch (actress, author, coach therapist). She said she had attended a Ted Talk and the person speaking was a fellow actor. This actor was asked: “why does everyone love you so much?” their reply: “because I LET them.”
This month is the month to stand up and LET yourself experience your own loving presence. It is priceless, it is distinctively yours and the world is waiting to see it expressed through you and as you. Your golden essence is not meant to remain concealed. It is intended to be revealed. I encourage you to turn towards your gold, to see it and wake up daily this month with this one question: “What will I do with my one precious golden heart?” and allow its radiance to ignite the world.
